Italics
Italics are used:
- To emphasize a word or phrase.
Example:
It was exactly what she needed-- A nice word.
- In titles of books, newspapers, periodicals, reports …
But not titles of theses, articles, meeting papers …
- Words may be italicized when they would be stressed if spoken.
